About the Presentation
Intervention during the Completion deployment phase can be challenging, time consuming, and can increase risk exposure during execution. By utilising step changes in oilfield technology Wells can be completed intervention free whilst adhering to strict barrier guidelines without compromising integrity or Production. This technique allows Completions to be run quicker and allows top side equipment to be commissioned before bringing the Well online without the need for a Rig. A Norwegian operator implemented an improvement program focused on increasing efficiency on platform well operations. Utilising dual remotely activated full-bore barrier valves saved them hours per well whilst reducing human exposure.
About the Speaker
Susanne Loen Ommundsen holds a combined degree in Petroleum and process technology from University of Bergen and is working as Business Development Manager for the Completion department based in Stavanger, Norway. She has been in the industry for more than 10 years’ experience in offshore and onshore operations consist of Coil tubing and Completion operation with tools such as barrier solutions, fiber optic monitoring, gas lift, chemical injection, screens. Susanne joined the team in interwell as completion sales engineer and has been a part of the growth of the Completion business globally, and expanding the Completion portfolio with the main target to achieve an efficient completion to post completion installation. In the spare time Susanne spends her time with her husband and two beautiful children.
