Pseudo Dry Gas System – An Enabling Technology for Remote Gas Field

This session will present an innovative ‘Pseudo’ dry gas subsea system technology to demonstrate that subsea tie backs far in excess of current threshold distances can be achieved without compression. A key driver in the value proposition is to increase the geographical reach from existing LNG terminals to allow them to prolong their production life and process more gas without the need for offshore surface facilities or expensive subsea processing technology. The presentation will demonstrate the technology through a bench marked study of a 200km tie back, along with focusing on the key technological areas of the system.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

Stephen Stokes –  A chartered (CEng MIChemE) engineer with over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, covering all project stages from concept through to detailed design to commissioning, operation and abandonment, specializing in flow assurance. He is a consultant for Advisian (INTECSEA) in Perth, with a technical remit to deliver front-end design solutions for clients in the APAC region. His combination of experience is ideal for driving the development of full field development plans that are robust over the project lifecycle.

Andrew Rafty –  Is a flow assurance engineer with over 12 years of experience in the industry. His work has covered all stages of the project lifecycle, with a strong focus on the design and operation of subsea gas and gas condensate gathering and transportation systems. He heads up the Intecsea Perth flow assurance team with responsibility for technical assurance and delivery of robust subsea solutions.
