About the Presentation
In this presentation, Steve will share career experiences that have shaped how he understands what it means to be an effective contributor in organisations.
Building on his recent experience helping major resource companies with their digital transformation ambitions, Steve will first discuss the opportunities offered by cutting-edge technology. He will then share an example of “textbook” project delivery and how this can be improved upon, the necessity of change leadership and the key role of people skills in achieving objectives. He will also discuss risks around “step change” initiatives and the hazards of ego-driven Leadership. He will then discuss this in relation to complex adaptive systems and how Systems Thinking approaches can help you to be effective in large organisations.
Finally he will share 10 observations that may help you in your career journey.
