SUMMARY:SPE WA Distinguished Lecture Series - February ’19 Technical Luncheon - "Conventional & Unconventional Reservoirs; What is In & Out in Today’s Pressure and Rate Transient Analysis"
DESCRIPTION:Distinguished Lecture Series – “Conventional & Unconventional Reservoirs; What is In & Out in Today’s Pressure and Rate Transient Analysis”\nSPE WA is proud is bring you Medhat (Med) Kamal to discuss the ever relevant Pressure and Rate Transient Analysis. \nTransient data is rich in information about the dynamic characteristics of the well/reservoir system. It has been used extensively by petroleum engineers since the 1920’s. Sustained development in this area is necessitated by three factors: \n(1) Changes in the types of reservoirs we produce (e.g. conventional\, unconventional) and their stages of recovery (e.g.\, primary\, secondary)\, \n(2) New tools (e.g. formation testers\, permanent downhole gauges)\, and \n(3) Advances in solution techniques (e.g.\, use of computers\, deconvolution). Today\, the value and use of transient data are at an all-time high. \nSeveral crucial technology advancements were achieved during the last 10-15 years. The aim of this lecture is to update the audience about the increased capabilities of Pressure and Rate Transient analyses (PTA and RTA respectively) and how to use them to optimize reservoir management. \nAfter a brief review of existing methods in PTA / RTA\, new developments will be discussed with special emphasis on integration and the role of the engineer to obtain a sensible and consistent reservoir model. Practical applications will be discussed including: characterizing unconventional reservoirs by combining multiple measurements\, determining permeability and fluid saturations  under multi-phase flow conditions\, integrating the analytical and numerical solutions\, combining single and multi-well tests to characterize the reservoir anisotropy\, calculating the average reservoir pressure under non-uniform production and boundary conditions\, and using continuous measurements of well pressures to integrate PTA and RTA to characterize reservoirs. For each case\, best practices and their limitations will be presented. \n  \nPresenter – Medhat (Med) Kamal\, Chevron Emeritus Fellow and SPE Honorary member\n \nMedhat (Med) Kamal is a Chevron Emeritus Fellow and SPE Honorary member with over 40 years of industry experience in well testing\, reservoir description and production and reservoir engineering. He is the editor and lead author of SPE Monograph 23 “Transient Well Testing”\, and has published 35+ technical papers in SPE journals. He holds BSc (Hons.) from Cairo University\, and MS and PhD from Stanford University in petroleum engineering. Kamal was an SPE board member and served as the Executive Editor of SPEREE. He received several regional and international awards including the Cedric Ferguson Medal and SPE Formation Evaluation Award. \n  \nStudents (read below)!!!\nSPE WA in conjunction with our sponsors tNavigator (Rock Flow Dynamics) and Expro Group\, are kindly sponsoring students to attend the monthly technical luncheons. SUMMARY:SPE WA Distinguished Lecture Series - Evening Event - CO2 in the Subsurface - From EOR to Storage
DESCRIPTION:Distinguished Lecture Series – “CO2 in the Subsurface – From EOR to Storage”\nSPE WA is proud to bring you Gary Teletzke\, Senior Technical Advisor for Enhanced Oil Recovery at ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company. \nThe Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) have issued recent reports suggesting that deployment of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) can significantly reduce the cost of achieving CO2 emission reduction targets.  However\, several questions remain: Under what circumstances will large-scale deployment take place? Where and when will this occur? How large a role will CCS play in stabilizing atmospheric concentrations of CO2? I will review the current status of CO2-EOR and geologic storage focusing on subsurface lessons learned and their implications for large-scale CCS. \nOur industry has a long history with CO2-EOR that provides a strong experience base for CO2 storage. However\, CO2-EOR alone will be insufficient to meet emission reduction targets and storage in deep saline aquifers is also being investigated.Experience from operating CCS projects shows that subsurface storage capacity in saline formations can be limited by dynamic injectability factors. Hundreds of years of CO2 storage capacity is potentially available\, even after accounting for dynamic limitations\, but the areal distribution of potential storage capacity is widely varied. Geologic and reservoir engineering studies will be essential for identifying storage sites having adequate capacity\, containment\, and injectivity. Petroleum engineers will play a key role in these studies. \nAgenda\n17:30 Networking drinks (Beer & Wine included) \n18:15 Evening buffet \n18:30 Presentation \n19:30 Close \n  \nPresenter – Gary Teletzke\, Senior Technical Advisor for Enhanced Oil Recovery at ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company\n \nGary has led research projects related to gas injection EOR\, chemical EOR\, and compositional reservoir simulation. He has also led several EOR field studies\, integrating laboratory work\, reservoir simulation\, and pilot testing. For the past ten years\, he has provided technical leadership to research efforts on CO2 sequestration. He has published more than 40 technical papers and patents. He has organized numerous SPE conferences over the past two decades and currently serves as Associate Editor of SPEREE. He was named an SPE Distinguished Member in 2013. He received a BS in chemical engineering from Northwestern University and PhD in chemical engineering from University of Minnesota. \n  \nStudents (read below)!!!\nSPE WA in conjunction with our sponsors tNavigator (Rock Flow Dynamics) and Expro Group\, are kindly sponsoring students to attend the monthly technical luncheons. SUMMARY:SPE WA Distinguished Lecture Series - November ’18 Technical Luncheon - 4D Seismic History Matching
DESCRIPTION:Distinguished Lecture Series – 4D Seismic History Matching\nSPE WA are proud to present the details of our November technical luncheon; This presentation will show how time-lapse or 4D seismic data can be used as an additional constraint to history match reservoir models in a 4D Seismic History Matching (4D SHM) workflow. 4D seismic provides an independently measured and spatially extensive dataset that complements the field’s production data. \nIt is sensitive to fluid saturation and pressure changes and provides information on the dynamic behavior of the reservoirs. It is also sensitive to the geological properties and informs the geological model too. 4D SHM is the process of developing reservoir models that are consistent with both the observed production data and the 4D seismic data. When 4D seismic data are available the reservoir model can be used to generate synthetic 4D data. Discrepancies between those two datasets are used to update the models and to attain a seismic history matched simulation model. A case study will be presented where 4D SHM was applied to the Harding and Gryphon fields in the North Sea. It was used to develop regional geological and simulation models for a major gas development project. The combination of geological knowledge\, reservoir simulation and 4D SHM led to greater confidence in the final models. 4D SHM is an evolving technology\, so the presentation will conclude with a discussion on the current status of the technology and some of its research and development directions. \nPresenter – Paul Mitchell\, TAQA Bratani Ltd\n \n\nPaul Mitchell is the Discipline Lead for Geophysics at TAQA in the UK. He has broad ranging responsibilities and is a technical authority for geophysics within the company. Paul has thirty years of experience in exploration\, development and production geophysics from around the world. He spent a number of years working in ExxonMobil’s Upstream Research Center in Houston specializing in seismic depth imaging\, 3D volume interpretation and 4D seismic. He is currently working within a multi-disciplinary team developing subsurface models for a large gas development project in the North Sea. His current interests are in 4D seismic and its application to 4D Seismic History Matching and he has presented his work at numerous international conferences. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Southampton and a M.Sc. in Exploration Geophysics from Imperial College in London. He is the Founding President of the EAGE Local Chapter in Aberdeen and is Chair of the SPE Seismic 2018 conference. \nStudents (read below)!!!\nSPE WA in conjunction with our sponsors tNavigator (Rock Flow Dynamics) and Expro Group\, are kindly sponsoring students to attend the monthly technical luncheons. SUMMARY:SPE WA November Lecture: Utilizing Python and Optimization Algorithms to Extend Gas Plateau
DESCRIPTION:Unlike their oil counterparts\, the optimization of gas fields is a matter of providing the right quantity of the right quality product at the right time. An optimized gas field requires careful planning to ensure production levels that satisfy existing contracts. For this reason\, it’s in the operator’s best interest to find efficient ways of extending the production plateau to prolong the life of the field and maximize returns. In this presentation we will see how to utilize optimization algorithms together with advanced reservoir simulation techniques to help us select the most efficient field development strategy and extend the production plateau of a field. \nSpeaker:  Andres Bracho\, Reservoir Engineer\, Rock Fluid Dynamics \nAndres Bracho is a young professional working as an engineer at Rock Flow Dynamics in Perth. He is experienced in reservoir simulation\, integrated asset modelling\, and commercial gas operations in Australia. Andres has a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Western Australia and a master’s degree from Curtin University. His primary focus is on finding interesting applications to well established reservoir engineering techniques to improve existing workflows. \n

SUMMARY:Industry Mentoring Workshop #5 - Millennial Leadership!
DESCRIPTION:“Millennials” actually want to be in charge.\nAccording to a survey conducted by Work Place Trends\, 91% of millennial respondents expressed a desire to lead. Nearly 50% of them also said that they believed leadership is the empowerment of others. From the same survey more than half indicated they believed they had strong leadership skills in the areas of communication and relationship building. However\, many also indicated a lack of confidence in industry experience and technical expertise. \nPerhaps what really stands out is that millennials seem to approach leadership in different ways than previous generations. They also have different expectations of the leaders they work under. For example\,  the majority also believes that international companies are not doing enough when it comes to social responsibilities (purpose)  Clearly\, whether they are seeking to become leaders themselves\, or responding to the leadership styles of their employers\, millennials are causing some disruption to traditional leadership. \nLet’s have a conversation with a millenial who has studied millenial leadership and after he left Woodside become an entrpreneur who tested his theories and findings about leadership in his own business. \nLet’s talk about what it is to be a millenial in today’s world\, about personal leadership and dealing with baby boomer-managers\, fulfilling a personal purpose and being aligned with the business purpose. \nOn Wednesday\, 31st October\, SPE WA / SEA / SUT and EA collaboratively bring you an opportunity to hear from Ziad and his advice for your professional development – \nDate – Wednesday\, 31st October\nTime – 5pm (5:30pm start) to 6:30pm\nVenue – Engineers Australia Auditorium\, West Perth \nSpeaker – Ziad Zammar\nZiad Zammar\, serial entrepreneur\, ex Woodside engineer moved into a wildly different industry that presented its own unique challenges. By utilising the power of purpose\, hard work and leading a work culture that enfranchised his staff\, his first foray into the fraught world of hospitality has been a runaway success.  It was through the experience of building a successful business in the age of social media that Ziad came to appreciate a new drive: helping others do the same. Now established as a leading business strategist in Millennial Leadership\, Branding & Culture\, he has worked with entrepreneurs and professionals on their own capacity for inspiring change through leadership\, by rejecting authoritarian norms and embracing autonomy\, empathy and purpose. \nWe hope to see you all there! \nNote – this event is FREE and is for registered mentors/mentees of our industry mentoring program only.

SUMMARY:SPE WA October ’18 Technical Luncheon - Maximising value of appraisal DSTs
DESCRIPTION:Maximising Value of an Appraisal DST\nRecording a 10\,000 Hour Build-up in an Abandoned Well Using Wireless Downhole Gauges\nSPE WA are proud to present the details of our October technical luncheon; reservoir connectivity over production timescales is often a key uncertainty impacting estimated ultimate recover (EUR) per well\, and ultimately the economics of a development\, but is difficult to address without production data (particularly where the reservoir is poorly defined by seismic). While appraisal well tests can be designed to help predict the performance of future development wells\, high rig costs in deepwater means the test duration is often insufficient to investigate the volume that would be accessed under production conditions. \nThis presentation describes the acquisition and interpretation of long-term pressure build-up data in a plugged and abandoned deepwater appraisal well. To accomplish the test objectives at an acceptable cost\, we turned to a novel combination of well testing\, wireless gauge technology and material balance techniques to allow the collection and interpretation of reservoir pressure data over a planned period of 6 to 15 months following the well test. The final build-up duration was 428 days (14 months). \nPresenter – Stuart Walters\, Chevron\n \nCurrently the Waterflood Reservoir Engineer for Barrow Island\, since joining Chevron in 2008 Stuart has worked in a variety of petroleum engineering roles covering appraisal\, development and operations\, with an emphasis on reservoir engineering analytical methods. Stuart holds a BEng (Hons) in Oil and Gas Engineering and a BSc (Chemistry\, Pure Maths)\, both from the University of Western Australia\, and has previously co-authored papers on integrated production modelling and value of information. \nStudents (read below)!!!\nSPE WA in conjunction with our sponsors tNavigator (Rock Flow Dynamics) and Expro Group\, are kindly sponsoring students to attend the monthly technical luncheons. Please fill out an application form\, explaining why you are interested in attending the SPE WA technical luncheons. Successful applicants will be notified via email. SUMMARY:SPE WA September ’18 Technical Luncheon - The Future - Digital Oilfield
DESCRIPTION:The Future – Digital Oilfield\nSPE WA are proud to present the details of our September technical luncheon; The Future – Digital Oilfield. As the world turns more and more to operating technology for speed and efficiency solutions\, the oil industry appears to be a clear laggard\, ironically an industry that has most to benefit\, one would think. We still find ourselves awash with spreadsheets and laborious manual processes\, with incommunicative systems and bespoke solutions. \nWhere does the answer lie? Could it be in things like harnessing the power of inter-generational capabilities? Adapting solutions from more advanced sectors or even (perish the thought!) acquiescing to collaborating and co-creating for credible cross industry solutions? \nLet’s test it out. \n  Speaker – Mary Hackett\nMary’s greatest passion is the promotion of powerful workplaces that celebrate diversity of though and nature to drive outstanding industry solutions. Prior to Mary joining General Electric in 2014\, her 30 year industry experience has seen her in several positions at Woodside\, including Senior Vice President for their Australian Oil Business Unit and Project manager for Pluto Expansion. Before that\, Mary undertook managerial and engineering roles in Brown & Root Engineering. \nStudents (read below)!!! \nSPE WA in conjunction with our sponsors tNavigator (Rock Flow Dynamics) and Expro Group\, are kindly sponsoring students to attend the monthly technical luncheons. SUMMARY:AINDT & SPE Joint Technical Evening - To breach or not to breach? That is the question we address with FEA and advanced inspection!
DESCRIPTION:Advances in inspection and analysis software are making it more practical to proceed directly to Level 3 fitness for service to gain an in-depth knowledge of a damaged item’s integrity. \nContinuous operation of pressure piping and vessels is synonymous with increased productivity. Live pressure equipment also presents a significant\, yet manageable\, hazard to personnel. Plant design and material selection aims to minimise degradation of in-service pressure equipment\, however\, damage is inevitable in many cases. Hence there is a strong requirement to justify safe operation of damaged equipment; this is formally known as fitness for service (FFS) assessment. When damage is identified it is crucial to demonstrate not only whether the item is safe to operate but how much further degradation can be tolerated and what this means for the future of the asset. \n About Tyron Kimble\, he is an integrity engineer with Sonomatic based in Perth. Since joining Sonomatic in 2008\, Tyron has gained experience in non-intrusive inspection (NII) planning and evaluation\, statistical analysis of inspection data and integrity assessment. Field experience with NII has helped Tyron to work closely with inspection and integrity activities.

SUMMARY:August SPE WA Lecture: Well-based Monitoring of a CO2 Plume in a Carbon Dioxide Storage Project
DESCRIPTION:Carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage is the subject of ongoing research in which several techniques are being evaluated to monitor the progress of the injected CO2 through the selected formation(s). Of the formation properties desirable for CO2 storage\, one of the most important is the presence of an effective trapping mechanism to ensure the CO2 remains in place and does not escape to neighbouring formations or to the surface. Therefore\, to confirm that the CO2 plume can be detected and leaks outside the target formation identified\, various monitoring techniques must be assessed. One such technique was tested at the CO2CRC Otway Research Facility in southwest Victoria\, and it is the subject of this presentation.\nPulsed neutron logging has been used for reservoir monitoring in the oil business for over 40 years. Conventional techniques rely on the measurement of the thermal neutron capture cross section (Sigma) in saline formation water of known or assumed salinities and/or the salinity-independent carbon/oxygen (C/O) ratio in oil densities and porosities of sufficient magnitude to enable calculation of the oil and water saturations.\nPrior to 2004\, the limited sensitivity of Sigma to oil vs. gas and of C/O measurements to water vs. gas precluded quantitative gas saturation and the differentiation of gas from oil and fresh water. Recently developed interpretation techniques using pulsed neutron gamma ray ratio-based measurements overcome these limitations and enable quantification of gas saturation in fresh\, brackish or saline water\, oil and three-phase environments.\nThis paper presents the results of a programme conducted in late 2015 and early 2016 to monitor an injected CO2 plume. The workscope comprised a base log and a post-injection log in the injection well and a post-injection log in the neighbouring monitoring well. The results show that the combination of the pulsed neutron capture measurement\, Monte Carlo tool response modelling\, and the interpretation technique is able to locate and quantify the CO2 plume. In the injection well\, this was accomplished in the presence of complex completion hardware. The data also show that the measurements enable the location of leaks within the completion\, in this case\, by detecting CO2 trapped under a packer. \n  \nSpeaker: Roger Marsh-Geoscience Manager\, Baker Hughes\, a GE company in Perth\, Western Australia \nRoger Marsh is Geoscience Manager for Baker Hughes a GE company in Perth\, Western Australia.  He has more than 15 years of field experience in open and cased hole services.  Since 1995\, he has overseen field trials for various services including the RPM prototype. He is a Chartered Engineer\, a member of the SPWLA\, SPE and IET.  He received a BSc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester.

DESCRIPTION:30 spots available – sign up below to claim your spot \nAutomated Production and Reservoir Surveillance Systems: Why is it that with all of the technology at our disposal\, the oil and gas sector is still decades behind the process industry?  Is there something about the oil patch that prevents technology from being properly deployed and utilised to make better decisions? \nHow does a company spend $40 Billion on $10 Billion of Oil and Gas?  How does a company let a 10\,000 STB/d well’s completion fail?  How does ‘going to the cloud’ produce more oil and gas from a reservoir?  How does new technology (A.I.\, Smart wells etc.) change the way  management makes decisions? \nIs it the technology…or is it us? (Spoiler Alert: It’s Us!) \nChris will share several case studies from his experience across the globe showing how Automated Production and Reservoir Engineering Surveillance technology has been used to detect and diagnose problems that otherwise went unnoticed. He will also demonstrate how the democratisation of information can change the way decisions are made (for the better!) and how taking a holistic approach to the wellbore-completion-reservoir system can avoid myopic mistakes. \nChris Fair received his BS in Chemical Engineering (1994) and his MS in Petroleum Engineering (1997) from the University of Houston. While studying\, he worked in various positions in the chemical and oil industries. These roles included process operations\, project/design engineering\, PVT and fluid mechanics research\, sales engineering\, process control and instrumentation\, downhole nuclear tool testing\, and laboratory instruction in process control. In 1997\, he joined Data Retrieval Corporation where he worked on expanding the range & types of wells that could be effectively tested from the surface\, and worked on increasing the company’s markets\, both in the US and overseas. In 2005\, he started Oilfield Data Services\, a reservoir/production engineering consulting firm that specializes in Automated Reservoir and Production Engineering Surveillance.  Outside of his “day-job”\, Chris sings with the Houston Symphony Chorus. \nCost:          This event is FREE  and is proudly sponsored by Halliburton Australasia. \nWhen:        Friday 10th August. 11:30 – 13:30 (Registration\, food and networking before talk at 12pm) \nWhere:      Halliburton Board Room\, Level 27\, 140 St Georges Terrace \nLunch will be provided \nSpecial Thanks to this event’s sponsor:

SUMMARY:July Lecture: Quantifying Subsurface Core\, Log and Modeling Uncertainty with regard to Scale and Averaging
DESCRIPTION:For the past 20-30 years predictions many major capital projects have been determined to be outside the predicted high and low case range. The vast majority of those predictions are below the predicted low case. Either the P50 case is not sufficiently accurate or the P10 and P90 uncertainty cases are too narrow. The origin of this uncertainty has not been addressed. Specifically the uncertainty introduced by averaging and upscaling has not been quantified.  The Petrophysical continuous log curve uncertainty of porosity will be shown to be 7%. The resulting permeability and water saturation uncertainties are of similar scale and will also be demonstrated and calibrated to core measurements. The primary source of uncertainty before application into the Static/Geological model is upscaling and averaging. The process of upscaling from core to log and log to model scales introduces uncertainty than is not commonly understood. The process of averaging reservoir/petrophysical properties introduces additional uncertainty. Loss of predictability of the reservoir heterogeneity and the increased spread of high and low case uncertainty due to averaging and upscaling will be demonstrated. \nWith examples from North West Shelf projects\, each of these processes will be evaluated and quantified. It will become clear that the uncertainty of the Petrophysical interpretation continuous log curve is less than the processes of averaging and upscaling which in turn has less uncertainty than the prediction of reservoir properties in the Static/Geological model where there is no well control. \n  \nSpeaker: Wesley Emery \, Director of Innovative Reservoir Petrophysical Modelling (iRPM) \nWesley Emery gained a Post Graduate in Petroleum Engineering at Curtin University in 1997. He started his career as a logging engineer at Halliburton in 1990 and then Schlumberger in 1996 before joining Crocker Data Processing in Perth Australia for 4 years in 1998. Wesley then worked and analyzed data in South East Asia in areas as diverse as Brunei\, Malaysia\, Vietnam and Myanmar for 10 years between 2001 until 2011. Wesley joined Chevron in Perth in 2011 as a Senior Petrophysicist\, working on the Barrow Island Oil field\, Gorgon CO2 Reinjection project and West Tryal Rocks Gas appraisal field and reviewing all Fields in North West Shelf of WA. In 2015\, he started his own company\, specializing in 3D Petrophysics from Seismic. Wesley has been treasurer of FESAUS since 2013. Wesley has been in the industry for 27 years.

SUMMARY:Facilities Group - Technical Evening - The Effective use of Data Analytics in an Advanced Compressor Performance and Degradation Monitoring System - FREE!
DESCRIPTION:About the presentation:\nOrigin is Upstream operator and joint venture partner in Australia Pacific LNG. Origin’s Integrated Gas operations\nrequire reliable\, sustainable delivery of gas to the Downstream LNG facility on Curtis Island. This scale of operation\nrequires the business to maximise the potential of the assets brought online\, while maintaining a reliable\ncompression process across the fleet to meet the high gas demand for downstream. To ensure this\, the capability\nof monitoring the performance of centrifugal compressors is considered an essential component of production\nsurveillance.\nXodus leveraged Origin’s PI system to deliver a compressor performance and degradation monitoring tool to\naccurately identify early indications of degradation in multi-stage centrifugal compressors. The tool utilises live data\nfrom PI data historian to calculate key performance variables and metrics which define compressor and driver\nperformance. The use of dimensionless parameter analysis enables the operator to accurately quantify performance\ndegradation regardless of variations in field operating conditions via Polytropic Efficiency and Polytropic Head\ndeviation from baseline. This is then used in quantifying capacity losses\, loss of suction pressure and additional power consumption attributed to degradation. \nScope\n– Develop and validate a compressor performance monitoring tool to quantify compressor performance in terms\nof efficiency and head losses and link this to rotating or stationery components within impellers.\nValue Added\n– Ability to quantify efficiency and head losses\, then link these to tangible impacts including capacity\, plant suction\npressure losses\, and additional power consumption\, to enable stronger decision-making and production\nplanning by the business \nAbout the Presenters: \n \nAbout Radika Lucas is a Senior Optimisation Engineer in the Planning and Optimisation team for Integrated Gas operations at Origin Energy\, QLD\, Australia. She has 13 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry in varying locations in Australia. Radika has spent the last 10 years of her career supporting operations and optimising production from upstream gas networks with an emphasis on Centrifugal Compressors.\nRadika’s expertise covers design\, commissioning and operation of surface facilities from the well-head through to high pressure transmission networks. In the last 5yrs\, she has worked on maximizing production\, eliminating defects and improving efficiencies from upstream gas processing facilities with a major focus in delivering customized solutions for centrifugal compressor controls\, performance and maintenance strategies.\nRadika graduated from Hope College\, Holland\, Michigan\, USA\, in 2003 with degrees in BSc (Cum laude) in engineering and a BA in Chemistry. Radika also has a MEng from University of Adelaide\, Australia. \n\nAbout Andy Jones\nAndrew Jones is Digital Asset Manager for Xodus Group\, Perth\, Australia and is a process engineer with 23 years’ experience in the chemical\, nuclear and oil and gas\nsectors in varying locations worldwide. He spent 18 years of his career in dynamic process simulation modelling and integrated technology-based solutions.\nHis expertise covers both the subsea and topsides simulation of fluids from the well head\, through pipeline\, topsides and onwards delivery to downstream operations. Most\nrecently\, he has focused his attentions on creating intelligent monitoring applications.\nHe graduated from the University of Nottingham\, UK in 1994 with an BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering.
