SPE WA GAIA Talk – Woodside’s role in the Energy Transition
October 27 @ 4:45 pm - 7:30 pm$40.00 – $60.00
Society of Petroleum Engineers Western Australia is proud to present the details of the October GAIA Talk.
About the Presentation
We provide energy the world needs to heat and cool homes, keep lights on and enable industry through our portfolio of quality oil and gas assets. But the science of climate change is clear: if the world is to limit temperature rise, it will need to change the way that it produces and consumes energy. This process – sometimes called the “energy transition” – has already begun.
As an energy producer, Woodside is investing in the products and services that our customers need, as they too reduce their emissions.
About the Speaker – Shaun Gregory
Shaun Gregory leads Woodside’s New Energy Division and is passionate about delivering lower carbon energy to the world. Woodside’s New Energy Division is developing a portfolio of ammonia and hydrogen fuel supply projects in Australia, Oceania, and North America. The Division conducts business development activities and provides technical and engineering solutions for these developments. The New Energy Division is also responsible for all of Woodside’s carbon management activities, carbon-related technology, and carbon project development. These activities include carbon capture and storage, carbon utilisation, and carbon offsets, both for Woodside’s own use and as a service to partners and customers.
Mr. Gregory joined Woodside in 1995. He has over 30 years of energy industry experience covering Exploration, Geoscience, Technology, Digital Science, and Sustainability. Mr. Gregory has been a member of Woodside’s Executive Committee since 2013.
