FESAus Master Class – Integrating Formation Evaluation and Geology
October 11, 2016 @ 10:45 am - 5:00 pm
SPE Members will be granted FESAus Member prices for this event!
A half-day event with a range of international subject matter experts
Logs are the primary tool from geologists and engineers to understand the lateral and vertical distribution of reservoirs, source rocks and seals. This understanding is critical in identifying new prospects and maximising production from existing fields.
This Master Class has assembled 12 excellent speakers with a combined industry experience exceeding 300 years, covering a wide range of topics with scales from seismic down to core plugs. There will be an opportunity to quiz all speakers.
|11:00-11:20||History of use of logs by geologists||Gerry McGann, Incremental Oil and Gas|
|11:20-11:40||Challenges in log correlation||Ed Hooper, Woodside|
|11:40-12:00||Environments of deposition from logs||Mike Walker, Walker Petrophysics|
|13:00-13:20||Log signatures of key stratigraphic surfaces||Martin Kennedy|
