High Fidelity Nonlinear Dynamic Simulations: 1) Dropped Objects, 2) Flexible Riser Systems by Dr Hema Wadhwa from INTECSEA
The presentation aims to discuss a) simulation-based dropped objects assessments for cost management and installation risk reduction and b) An advanced Nonlinear Dynamically Substructured (NDS) solver that enables direct integration and efficient computation of detailed 3D flexible riser finite element models into local and global configurations for more accurate and computationally efficient solutions for flexible riser fatigue life assessments.
Dr Hema Wadhwa has more than 6 years of experience in floating systems engineering and research, including; model testing and data analysis. Her experience includes response based analysis (RBA), offshore engineering, hydrodynamics of subsea and floating structures, fluid-structure interaction, mooring analysis, on-bottom stability analysis of subsea pipelines, model testing and data analysis, offshore pipelines monitoring data analysis. Hema was hydrodynamics SME for dropped object risk assessment model testing campaign at the Neutral Buoyancy lab at NASA. She has strong analytical and data analysis skills. She is also a co-developer of Response Based Analysis (RBA) tool for floating systems at INTECSEA.
