SPE WA Lecture: Data Science and Machine Learning for Petroleum Engineers

There has been an explosion of interest in big data, data science and machine learning within the oil & gas industry in recent years. While companies have invested heavily in R&D in these areas, petroleum and reservoir engineers on the front-lines of operating assets have so far seen very little in the way of practical tools to assist with their work.
