Society of Petroleum Engineers Western Australia is proud to announce that the September 2024 evening meeting will be our Season Opening Event.
Chris J. Wilson, Executive Vice President Operations, Inpex, will be the special guest speaker.
About the Speaker
In this role, Chris leads an 850- person team responsible for managing the INPEX-led Ichthys LNG asset, along with the company’s subsurface, drilling, field development and supply chain activities.
Chris joined INPEX in 2020 and is a Director of the INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd Board.
Beginning his career as a reservoir engineer, Chris entered the oil and gas industry in 1991 and has three decades’ experience with ConocoPhillips in technical, supervision and leadership roles in Aberdeen, London, Dubai, Anchorage, Houston and Australia.
Key roles held include leading ConocoPhillips Corporate Strategy & Planning group and from 2015 leading ConocoPhillips Australia West business.
He holds an M.Sc (Distinction) in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and a B.Eng. (first class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
