The Presentation: The Execution of a Gen3 Ultra-Deepwater FPSO
This talk introduces the challenges and successes, from bidding to first oil, of a Generation3 FPSO recently installed offshore Rio de Janeiro in just over 2000m water depth.
The Presenter : Dr. Jinzhu Xia
Currently an independent consultant, Jinzhu Xia spent the last 5 years committed to delivering the ultra-deepwater FPSO project for Petrobras, until returning to Perth recently. His offshore oil and gas industry experience spans over 20 years based in Perth, Houston and Kuala Lumpur, including being the marine engineering manager for KBR Granherne in Perth for 5 years.
Prior to turning full-time in offshore industry, he spent nearly 10 years in academia in Australia and Denmark. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and an author of over 70 engineering publications.
