The Talk
ZEUS is a high-pressure oxyfuel power technology that turns gas streams with very high CO₂ content into dispatchable low-carbon electricity. By using advanced combustion and fully integrated CO₂ capture, it can process untreated gas, capture nearly all emissions, and send the CO₂ for storage or reuse, which makes previously stranded gas resources potentially valuable. The key appeal of ZEUS is that it offers a compact, simplified pathway to “blue” power that could be cheaper and easier to deploy than more conventional treatment-heavy systems. While it is still early-stage at TRL 3, the planned demonstration unit will be an important test of whether it can scale into a practical bridge technology for cleaner energy supply.
