Society of Petroleum Engineers Western Australia is proud to present the details of our August 2025 SPE WA Technical Meeting which will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting.
Presentation Overview:
Can any of today’s energy supply challenges and the challenges of being a young professional in that business, benefit from the lessons acquired from a 40-year oil, gas & LNG, energy technology career? Neil Kavanagh, a former SPE Director, who recently retired as the Global Innovation Officer at Woodside Energy, will recount his journey from becoming a Shell sponsored student in UK in 1982, before working as an engineer in exploration, production and innovation roles in Netherlands, UK (Aberdeen), Sultanate of Oman, Sultanate of Brunei, and Australia (first Melbourne, then Perth).
