Hydrogen – The Hype and The Reality
May 10, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
$10.00 – $15.00
SPE Western Australia is pleased to announce the May Facilities Group Event led by Martin Wilkes, Managing Director at RISC.
About the Presentation
With the number of “hy” profile announcements over the past year or so, you could be forgiven for thinking that the hydrogen economy is just around the corner and ready to go. However, as many R&D teams know the pathway to commercialisation traverses the technology “valley of death”, which is littered with the skeletons of failed enterprises. Whilst hydrogen clearly has the significant advantage of not releasing CO2 when combusted there are many other factors that need to be addressed before the hydrogen economy becomes a reality.
This talk will discuss the current status of hydrogen, look at the pathways to a hydrogen economy and discuss what the impacts might be.
