Learn the principles behind the real-time Total Focussing Method (TFM) and what sets it apart from conventional Phased Array techniques. Appreciate the features which distinguish TFM when performing in-services inspections for damage mechanisms such as High-Temperature Hydrogen Attack (HTHA) and Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC). See examples of work performed on both HTHA and LTHA damage mechanisms including a comparison against PAUT.

34Dean Mason is the Technical Manager Oceania for Eddyfi Technologies and holds a BSc in NDT, and LIII qualifications in 5 methods including ET, ToFD, PAUT, MT and UT. Dean has been involved in the NDT industry for more than 25 years in Australasia and the Middle East. In the Middle East. Dean worked for Stork as Advanced Inspection Manager and Product Line Manager for NDT and AIS, and for GE Inspection Technologies selling GE’s cloud-based Predictive Corrosion Management system and Robotics portfolios.
