About the Panel Discussion
In May of this year, the International Energy Agency (IEA) released a report, “ IEA Net Zero by 2050 : A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector”, to outline how a sustainable transition to a net zero energy system can be achieved by 2050.
It’s our pleasure to host a panel of three industry experts who will address the technical, financial, and regulatory readiness of oil and gas operators. We will also be asking for the panel’s views on the overall pace of the oil and gas industry’s energy system transformation, especially in light of intensifying internal and external pressures to decarbonise.
We will incorporate questions posted by the online audience so bring your questions and join the discussion!
About the Speakers
Tom Ridsdill-Smith
As senior Vice President Climate, Tom is leading Woodside’s approach to climate change and has oversight of the initiatives Woodside is pursing to limit emissions and prepare for a lower-carbon future. Prior to this, Tom worked in a variety of roles for Woodside including VP Geoscience, VP Science, Chief Digital Officer, Chief Scientist and Chief Geophysicist.
Before joining Woodside in early 2000, Tom worked for 5 years in airborne geophysics at World Geoscience.
Tom is also and Adjunct professor of Physics at the University of Western Australia.
Bernadette Cullinane
Bernadette is the Deloitte Australia Oil, Gas & Chemicals Leader and Global LNG Leader. She has worked with companies in the upstream, downstream, midstream, LNG and trading segments, conventional and unconventional resources and across the end to end project to operations lifecycle.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Bernadette was Managing Director for Energy in Accenture’s Perth practice and APAC Energy Lead from 2007 to November 2016. She has also held senior global oil and gas operational and consulting roles with Exxon Company International, Esso Singapore, Arthur Andersen and SAIC.
David Pedulla
David Pedulla is the Business Development manager of Rystad Energy. Rystad Energy is an independent energy research and business intelligence company providing data, tools, analytics and consultancy services to clients exposed to the energy industry across the globe.
David was previously working in Strategy & Marketing with Oilfield Services giant Schlumberger providing energy technology services expertise across the region.
