Beyond the Hype: Practical Data Science for Subsurface Engineers
SPE WA are proud to present you with details for our July ’18 technical luncheon and Annual General Meeting. Come and learn from leading technology advisor, https://www.spe-wa.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Nopsema2-1.png Smart, on those digital technologies that have actually made their way into day-to-day activities of reservoir and petroleum engineering teams.
This presentation will focus on recent advances in AI, Machine Learning and Data Science, discuss their application to operational challenges, and evaluate the emerging bottom-line benefits to operators. Specific examples of where these approaches can help subsurface engineering teams will be highlighted, along with opportunities across the value chain that are likely to be explored by E&Ps in the near term. Finally the broader topic of Digital Transformation will be considered, along with https://www.spe-wa.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Nopsema2-1.png’s views on how this can be realised in a way that provides real value at realistic cost.
