Please join us for evening panellists with diverse experience within the Petroleum Industry. This is an opportunity to hear and have a discussion with a multidisciplinary expert panel who have interacted with the industry from the inside and outside. Panellists from consulting, technology, finance, etc will share:

• Their bird’s eye views of the petroleum industry transformation and impact on careers within.
• Overview of roles and career paths that are in demand and expected to dominate in the future.
• Tips and strategies for you to build and crystalline your short mid and long term career plan within the industry.
• Ways to transition into other industries regardless of your industry-specific skillsets.

Speakers

Whitney Merchant 

Whitney Merchant is a partner in BCG Australia and leads BCG’s oil & gas practice locally, including decarbonisation and hydrogen. She started her career with Kinder Morgan in business development before joining consulting with BCG in Toronto. She has worked across Canada, Australia and Mongolia, predominantly in LNG and gas, and more recently in hydrogen. She has a passion for supporting the oil & gas sector on it’s toughest challenges – be that energy transition, social license, or large scale transformations.

Khaled El Mandouh

Khaled currently leads the Natural Resources Business for Google Cloud in Australia with focus on Oil and Gas, Mining and renewable energy. Before joining Google, he spent over twelve years working for Schlumberger in various technical, sales and management roles helping Oil and Gas companies with their digital transformation across East Africa and East Mediterranean, Australia, PNG, NZ and East Timor. Khaled holds a bachelor of Computer engineering and an MBA with a marketing major. He is a big believer in the crucial role people and technology play in positively disrupting the status quo and pushing industries forward.

John Hoffman

John Hoffman is a highly experienced Oil & Gas professional with over 35 years’ international experience developing and managing Petroleum/Production Operations and Reservoir Engineering projects for large multi-national oil/gas operators. Including 3+ years working with Non-Operated JV assets, and 10 years working specialised bespoke projects (CSG, CCS/CO2, UGS, EOR, High Rate Gas) on both green and Brown Field developments.
