Tech Talk 101 Series – PVT Analysis

February 18, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free – $10.00

Tech Talk 101 Series – PVT Analysis

Accurate knowledge of hydrocarbon fluid behaviour as it is produced from reservoir to surface helps determine the engineering and economic decisions that need to be made regarding a well’s completion and future. Once a representative sample has been captured, it must be safely transported to a laboratory where it will undergo detailed PVT (Pressure / Volume / Temperature) analysis.

In his presentation, Dr Turker Karaman will present information on PVT analysis and discuss where and how PVT data is used. In addition the presentation will highlight the importance of collecting representative samples for the analysis.

Turker Karaman, Ph.D.: Studied Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. He has worked as Data Acquisition Engineer with Expro in Angola and Australia. Formerly Turker worked as Senior Reservoir Engineer at Turkish Petroleum Corporation prior to joining Expro. In his current role he is working as a Principal Technical Professional in Global Reservoir Engineering Support Team for Halliburton Testing and Subsea. He has several articles on prediction of multiphase flow properties in porous media.
