Integrated Field Development Planning and its Value Chain
January 23 @ 11:45 am - 2:30 pm
$40.00 – $70.00Society of Petroleum Engineers Western Australia is proud to present the details of our January 2024 SPE WA Lunch Time Technical Meeting.
About the Presentation
An Integrated Field Development Planning (IFDP) is mainly defined as a subsurface and surface journey to select and execute the best development scenario for a field to maximize economic value and overall recovery of the asset. The maturation process of an IFDP consists of Framing (identify the opportunity), Front-End-Loading (FEL), Execution (authorisation), Operated and Evaluate and lastly the Abandonment. Each stage of the process can be viewed as “live cycle” and respective value and cost target be re-evaluated. This is to ensure that the IFDP cycle is meant for Value Creation (‘Doing the Right Project’) and for the Value Realisation (‘Doing the Project Right’),furthermore, to ensure the opportunity still holds business value and relevant process remains aligned with the objectives and industry outlook.
A comprehensive IFDP must deliver (but not limited to) Subsurface Characteristics, Recoverable Reserve (range), Depletion Plan, Emission Reduction Plan, Facilities and Flow Assurance Plan, Risk and Mitigation Plan, HSE Plan, Sales and Commercial Plan and Abandonment Plan. In recent years, the Carbon Sequestration/Storage plan has also become an integral part of IFDP. Key Stakeholders of IFDP must be known and categorised based on their interest and involvements, and responsibilities in the process. The two important categories of stakeholders are ones who have high interest (economically/commercially) in the project and those who will have voice, concern or opinions (environmentally etc…).
This talk will cover key value drivers and steps for a successful Integrated Fidel development Planning (IFDP) and in context of techno-commerciality objectives of the maturation process.
