Joint AINDT & SPE Facilities Group Technical Evening – Modular Robotic Technologies for Adaptive Inspection Solutions by Jeff Christopherson

March 20, 2018 @ 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm

Oil and Gas assets managers are under continuous pressure to maintain a safe and profitable infrastructure in the face of ageing assets, reduced budgets and increased safety demands. NDT technologies provide data to inform decision makers on how best to achieve their goals and further, these technologies hold Staff and equipment at Nexxis headquarters in Yangebup, Western Australia on Tuesday, Feb 13. (Photos by Shea Walsh)the potential to provide intelligence from areas that were never before assessable – if you could just GET them there…. but getting a new technology to the target area can present a challenge for robotics integrators.

Inuktun’s Multi Mission Modular (IM3â„¢) technology lends itself well to the challenge of deploying NDT systems into previously inaccessible, confined or hazardous spaces. This presentation will review several case studies where robotic solutions were developed to deploy NDT technologies into these forbidding areas, and touch upon future developments to take data collection even further.
