About the Presentation

The events of the past year accelerated many changes in our industry, creating not only a new landscape but an increased urgency to deliver on the industry mandates of cost, capital intensity, and carbon.

Looking to the current industry dynamics, we see a new cycle of oil and gas demand growth beginning, with the onset of a strong multiyear economic rebound. Industry demand projections for oil and gas continue to show both growth and resilience as a key pillar of the energy mix.

In this context of business outlook, the long-term competitiveness of our industry will depend on our ability to effectively harness technology, data, and deeper collaboration to address these industry mandates. To thrive, we need to generate higher value as we deliver lower carbon energy that sustains the world across the energy transition. The past year has given us the opportunity to reimagine our industry, and today I will be sharing with you our approach to generating higher value with lower carbon footprint. During this presentation I would be sharing with you Schlumberger Net Zero roadmap as well as our Decarbonization Framework and Transition Technologies.

About the Speaker – Shara Patricia Ciravolo Fesser

Shara Patricia is currently the Schlumberger Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste, based in Perth, West Australia.

She has more than twenty years of experience in technical, administrative, human resources and managerial positions for the Oil & Gas industry. She has held a variety of professional assignments covering different management and technical positions for Schlumberger in a broad geography which includes Europe, South America, Africa, North America Offshore and Russia. She is proficient in a wide range of technical and human resource applications and has a thorough understanding of technical and non-technical processes in an interacting environment. Shara Patricia’s strength is in the approach of solving operational challenges, leading and networking people, and has a proven record of optimizing resources to achieve set targets.

Shara Patricia was born in Caracas, Venezuela and holds a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela as Petroleum Engineer and a Master’s Program Degree from Heriot Watt University from the Business and Petroleum Engineering Schools. She is married with 2 daughters and currently lives in Perth, since 2020.
