The Future – Digital Oilfield

SPE WA are proud to present the details of our September technical luncheon; The Future – Digital Oilfield. As the world turns more and more to operating technology for speed and efficiency solutions, the oil industry appears to be a clear laggard, ironically an industry that has most to benefit, one would think. We still find ourselves awash with spreadsheets and laborious manual processes, with incommunicative systems and bespoke solutions.

Where does the answer lie? Could it be in things like harnessing the power of inter-generational capabilities? Adapting solutions from more advanced sectors or even (perish the thought!) acquiescing to collaborating and co-creating for credible cross industry solutions?

  Speaker – Mary Hackett

Mary’s greatest passion is the promotion of powerful workplaces that celebrate diversity of though and nature to drive outstanding industry solutions. Prior to Mary joining General Electric in 2014, her 30 year industry experience has seen her in several positions at Woodside, including Senior Vice President for their Australian Oil Business Unit and Project manager for Pluto Expansion. Before that, Mary undertook managerial and engineering roles in Brown & Root Engineering.
