About the Presentation
What are the mechanical devices run into or installed as part of the completion string that are used as Completion and Production Well Barriers to secure and make the well safe? Simon will cover the common devices, what ‘standards’ apply to barrier validation and what they mean. What are Safety Valves? Are they a barrier? We’ll cover how they work, common terminology and design criteria, TRSV vs WLRSV. Come armed with all your questions
About the Speaker – Simon White
Simon studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide. He joined Halliburton in 1994 as an entry-level slickline assistant in Perth and has progressed through most operational, technical and business development Halliburton Completion Tools job roles up to Country Operations Manager as well as spending time in regional and global service quality roles. He has wide experience across all Completion products from Pre-Completions to Lower and Upper Completions and Slickline He has worked across many different locations in the Asia Pacific including Australasia (Aust/PNG/NZ), Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam as well as GoM. He is currently the Completions Engineering Manager for Australasia
