SPE WA August ’18 Technical Luncheon: Evolution of extended reach drilling in the Wandoo field; 2008 – 2018
August 8, 2018 @ 11:45 am - 1:15 pm$30 – $60
The presentation will provide a case history example from the Wandoo Field demonstrating how the operator was able to expand the existing drilling and completion envelope in this mature offshore field to provide a cost-effective means of accessing the remaining attic and undrained oil in a very shallow reservoir. The presentation will highlight the evolutionary process applied to the application of engineering, new technology, extended reach drilling practices, complex completions and execution support at the rig site, to enable the operator to extend the life of this mature asset.
